In Beirut, Lebanon!
After 7 months of walking through Europe, we are here, in Beirut!
After marching and talking with people in 10 countries on our way (starting in December in Germany, Czech Republic, Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia, Serbia, Macedonia and Greece), we finally arrived in Lebanon, neighboring country to Syria. This is a big moment! Lebanon accepted 1.035.701 Syrian refugees (data from June 2016) and really knows what it means to be affected by the war.
Let’s march together for peace, democracy and freedom in Syria. Already more than 3.500 thousand marchers joined us: the Civil March for Aleppo. Each of you can join even for one day or symbolic few hours – everybody makes a difference! And this is the very last part of our way, very important one!
On Saturday (29th) and Sunday (30th) we are planning events in Beirut and then we are going to march through the country. Details will follow: about the dates for info event, discussions and marching dates as the route, too!
If you want to help with organization, translation, contacts or even have a coffee with us this week – just send us a message!
And please invite friends!
Shukran!
